the area extends along the czech border and is continued on the czech side by the bohemian forest. the highest mountain in the region is the "großer arber". the forests and rivers form the basis for a wide range of outdoor activities: archery and high wire parks, summer toboggan runs, canoeing and many more. and there are winter sports: alpine skiing and snow boarding, cross country skiing, tobogganing and snow show walking. all-in-all, activities for every time of year.
